MAY is Mental Health Month- 50% OFF!
Mental Health is making huge moves in becoming a priority in the lives of everyone right now, and rightfully so!
To give back to all my friends, supporters, and new Slick Vick community, I am offering 1/2 off my first E-Book, The Meatsuit Guide To Happiness. It is available for digital download on my Etsy account-links are all over my website and links in bio, but here it is as well…1/2 off E-Book here .
For those that are wondering what this book is about, let me give you a quick synopsis before I go into some mental health realizations I have had since the beginning of 2024.
The Meatsuit Guide to Happiness, Finding Your Joy Volume I, is a quick outline of my life in relation to my ups and downs in finding my own happiness. I take the reader briefly through my childhood, young adulthood, and current day events that provided real life experiences that help shape the person I am, as well as how I found joy through the stress of life. I was raw, real, and quite frankly myself when writing it, which hopefully gives the reader a sense of ease while visually digesting it. If nothing else, the book is meant to give people hope, laughter, and maybe a few skills and techniques to incorporate into their own lives in creating their own joy.
(P.S. JOY is an ongoing journey and adventure, so much so that I will have a volume II coming out by the end of the year, because well, LIFE….)
Now onto MENTAL HEALTH! Since the beginning of this wonderful 2024 year, I have found that paying attention to what’s happening internally is more important than what’s happening externally. Makes sense right? Yet, so many of us (I would dare to say most of us) habitually are more concerned about everyone and everything around us more than our own health and needs.
With that being said, I have been purposely paying attention to how I feel, and how I think in every stage of my day. By doing this, I have seen patterns formed over time-especially during and throughout my menstrual cycle. (I hope I don’t lose the men reading this-this can also be helpful to you gentlemen). One way that I really honed in on my emotions and thought processes was through a program I took called Mind Hacking Happiness by Sean Webb. This program was gifted to me through a friend and fellow Patreon member of mine, and has been a valuable tool in my tool belt when it comes to reprogramming my mind. Another thing I have done is to dive deeper into my meditation practice, and start recognizing when I need to slow it down.
The mind is a powerful being by itself, and it can create and imagine worlds that are beautifully intricate, but it can also create and imagine worlds that are horrific and full of suffering. That is where I believe being self awareness, and building healthy routines and habits outside of scary and “out of our control” moments will jointly help us navigate and dissolve uncomfortable and unhealthy situations-inside and outside of the mind.
Remember, YOU create your reality. Sometimes the reality around us can be rough, but at the end of the day, we can find peace in every moment and experience if we truly want and try to.
To wrap this up, hope this finds you all in good health, happiness, and some form of joy. I understand that you may not have all three in the way you want, but by golly, I know for a fact that you can create it if you truly believe you can. I believe in you, if that helps! But YOU got to believe. Let today, right now, be the moment where you let go of all negative-self-beliefs and doubts, and breathe in a new way of thinking where anything and everything is possible in giving you the life and reality you want and deserve.
Have a beautiful day my fellow meatsuits <3
